Together with volunteers from NWLL and RVAR students from the NWRC embarked to learn how to upcycle old furniture, giving the used and rundown furniture a new lease on life. The students, enrolled in the Prince’s Trust Training Programme, will be selling the items on the Bits’N’Bobs Ballykelly Facebook page as part of a special fundraiser with the Roe Valley Ancestral Researchers in Farlow Woods.

The Prince’s Trust Group is a global network of charities founded by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales. Their mission is to transform lives and build sustainable communities worldwide, with a particular focus on supporting young people into education, employment and enterprise. Through the programme based in the NWRC Limavady, Joseph, Chloe, Kathy, Peter, Cian, Taavi, Leah, Dena and their tutor Dennis have had an exciting few days learning how they can make use of older furniture that others might see little value in.
